Voatsiperifery wild pepper is a rare and aromatic spice, renowned for its unique character and forest origin. It is intended for the food, gourmet, and trade markets, both locally and for export.
Our Wild Pepper ( Piper borbonense ), locally called Voatsiperifery, is harvested in the wild in the tropical forests of Madagascar, mainly in the East and Southeast regions.
The berries are hand-picked when fully ripe, then undergo a rigorous process including natural drying, hand-sorting, grading, and packaging. The product consists of small, dark brown to black berries, often with their stems, with a fresh, woody aroma and an intense, slightly lemony and resinous flavor.
Store in a dry place, away from light and air, at room temperature.
Shelf life: 36 months from the date of production, under recommended conditions.
