Red cow peas are legumes valued for their nutritional quality, versatility and suitability to agri-food and trading markets.
Our Red cow peas ( Vigna unguiculata ) , locally called Lojy Mena , are grown in Madagascar, mainly in the Boeny region . Harvesting takes place from April to June.
After harvesting, the beans are dried, threshed, sorted, graded, and packaged according to a rigorous process that guarantees consistent quality. The beans are dark red to reddish-brown in color with a black central eye, a neutral, slightly earthy aroma, and a typical legume flavor.
Store in a dry place, away from light and air, at room temperature.
Shelf life : 24 months from the production date, under recommended conditions.
